About

In August, shortly after graduation from college, I joined the Missioners of Christ in Comayagua, Honduras. I had worked with them over one of my summer breaks and God planted a seed in my heart then; ever since, I longed to return.

The Missioners of Christ is a Catholic organization that has partnered with the diocese of Comayagua as well as with local religious communities in order to serve the poor in Honduras both tangibly and spiritually with a focus on evangelization and discipleship. They exist to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ (Matt 28:19).

While in Honduras, I  am experiencing the life of a missionary: living, working, teaching and serving. I have especially been involved with tutoring students in the scholarship program run by the Missioners as well as a couple students at a local orphanage. In addition, I serve in various evangelization and faith formation ministries.

Here are some more details of my trip:
  • I arrived in Honduras Aug. 7, 2012, and spent six weeks in Guatemala at a language school before returning to Comayagua to serve with the Missioners.
  • I returned to the US for Christmas, but have returned to Honduras to continue serving with the Missioners for up to two years, God willing. I am excited to see what God has planned for this time!
